And then there’s Indianapolis, sitting pretty at 3-0 with Daniel Jones under center. These are the kinds of storylines that make September football so unpredictable.
College Football Rivalry Week Rants & Arch Manning’s Tune-Up
It wasn’t just the NFL making headlines. College football rivalry week gave us plenty to debate. Should these marquee games really be played so early in the season? The atmosphere may be electric, but some fans feel it takes away from the drama of late-season matchups.
One player who needed a confidence boost was Arch Manning, and he got it against Sam Houston. Throwing three touchdowns and adding two more on the ground, Arch reminded Longhorn fans why the hype was real. While it came against a lower-tier opponent, the performance was exactly what he needed to get back on track.

As tough as it is for Astros fans to swallow, the conversation now shifts to the future. Retooling the rotation, bringing in fresh bats, and addressing injuries will be critical if Houston wants to bounce back in 2026.
